A lot of people said that the products do not work for them, and they were also upset that the business is not black-owned.
Someone said: ‘I’m glad these products work for you cuz girl it be having my hair dry like a popeye’s biscuit…😒’ and a commenter posted this: ‘Not good for the hair. It has alcohol in it. Also not a black-owned product.’
A commenter said: ‘Your curls would probably be better if you DIDNT use this stuff,’ and someone else posted this: ‘I thought we were supporting black-owned hair care lines.’
A fan said: ‘Used to love Cantu until I realized, they’re not black-owned and I started locks,’ and someone else posted this: ‘Everything doesn’t work for everyone, but this is a staple in my hair routine. I only use shampoo, Cantu leave-in, and eco style olive oil gel.’
A follower posted this: ‘Those products have my hair flaking up worse the 99 cent store gel😤’ and someone else said: ‘I hate this product for my hair! Dries it out every time.’
Another person said: ‘Yass can’t wait for my wash day. You are my hair inspiration. You give me hope with my thick ass hair😍😘’
